Recently, research has concluded that enhanced consumption of Vitamin D is highly beneficial for the treatment of depression, specifically for aged people. The study shows that low concentration of this vitamin may be related to depression and other physiological sickness. It should be noted that almost thirteen percent of older people shows signs of depression.

The research concluded the reality that lack of vitamin d and Vitamin d3 causes an enhancement in thyroid hormone levels with the reality that these glands in an overactive state are often found to be signs of depression. It should also be noted that signs of depression disappear after treatment of the situation and rejuvenation of adequate amount of Vitamin D types within the body. 
The research, which was conducted over 1200 people between the age of sixty five and ninety five, revealed that people with fourteen percent vitamin D in their bloods also suffer from skin and hair issues with lack of Vitamin B12 in their body. This makes these people more prone to have the problem of depression.

It was also concluded that, in respect to those people who are not suffering from depression, patients of initial depression had 5 % thyroid issues which also results in hair fall as a result of lack of Biotin in their hairs. Hence a requirement of effective supplements is felt to nourish the lack of nutrition and vitamins in the body of these patients. 


The research not only stated that lack of vitamin is going to cause depression issues, but also stated that it will reduce the over all strength of the body causing anxiety, insomnia and hyperactivity. For all these body ailments, people should also consume valerian supplements along with different types of vitamin D supplements to completely nourish their body.
